MUST I SQUAT?
No I won't die so you can earn a buck.
And prove you're right, when you are questioning if you're wrong.
I'm not gonna die so you can speech and say:
That I served my country bravely.
Would you take my life knowing no one knew you lied?
So you could stuff your face and pockets.
And years from now if I live to hold out a pleading hand
Would you shake your head and say:
Sorry old man I can't spare any change.
And you walk away, a jingle in your step.
To your wife, your home, your book of checks.
And as you laugh, you'll hear me say from the back alleys:
At least I served my country, this glorious country, bravely.
I've seen it all before I know where it all goes,
No I won't go, I won't fight your war.
